What We Do

Your DSTV Installer in Kempton Park, Suburb by Suburb

Four jobs make up most of our week: a first dish on a house that has never had one, a second decoder for a room that has been losing the remote argument, a business or guesthouse that needs several screens off one dish, and a picture that has started breaking up for reasons nobody can see from the ground. Browse them below, or read about dish and LNB maintenance for a system that has been up for a few years.

Why Us

Installations Built to Keep Working

MultiChoice Accredited

Installations are done to MultiChoice standards, on HD, Explora and Explora Ultra decoders.

Ready for Highveld Storms

Solid brackets, outdoor connectors sealed properly and cable fixed along its whole length — a summer storm finds every shortcut in an installation, usually in the middle of something you were watching.

Quote Before Work

You hear what the job involves and what it will cost before anything is drilled, with equipment itemised separately from labour.

Help After the Job

How It Works

Booking an Installation, Step by Step

1

Tell us your suburb

Call or WhatsApp with the suburb and what you need. If it is a rented house, a flat or a unit in a complex, mention that at the start.

2

Send a few photos

A picture of the wall or roofline, your current dish and the back of the decoder means we arrive with the right parts instead of a guess.

3

Agree the quote

We explain the work and the price first. Anything unusual about the property is priced before the day rather than on it.

4

Install and test

We mount, cable and set up, measure the signal at every TV point, and show you the basics before we leave.

FAQ

Questions From Kempton Park Households

The things people ask us most before booking a dish, a second decoder or a repair in Kempton Park— including where our work ends and MultiChoice's begins. Something else on your mind? Call or WhatsApp using the buttons below.

As a guide, a basic single-decoder installation starts from R800, an Explora installation from R1,200 and an Extra View setup from R1,500, with fault-finding call-outs from R550. Equipment such as decoders is charged separately. Anything unusual — a long cable run, a pole mount, several TV points — is quoted for the specific property before we start.

No. We are an independent installation business, not a MultiChoice branch, agency, walk-in centre or service centre, and we are not employed by MultiChoice. Anything to do with your account — subscriptions, payments, smartcards, Extra View linking, moving a decoder to a new account — is handled by MultiChoice on 011 289 2222 or at dstv.com. What we do is the physical work: the dish, the LNB, the cabling, the wall points and getting the decoder installed and working.

Aston Manor, Allen Grove, Glen Marais, Van Riebeeck Park, Edleen, Terenure, Birchleigh, Estherpark, Glen Erasmia and Norkem Park each have their own page on this site. If your street is somewhere else in Kempton Park, ask anyway — the suburbs listed are all within about five kilometres of the town centre and we are unlikely to be far from you.

It depends on that day's bookings rather than the distance, because everything on our list is close by. Call or WhatsApp early in the day and we will tell you the soonest slot we can offer, and whether the job looks like something that needs a full visit or a conversation first.

Yes, once you have permission. If you rent, or the building is run by a body corporate or a managing agent, get that in writing before the booking — some buildings set where a dish may go or what may be fixed to a wall. Where the fixing has to be discreet or reversible, we can look at non-penetrating mounts and routing cable through openings that already exist.

Towards one fixed satellite position east-north-east of here. That aim is the same right across the East Rand, so it is not the suburb that decides whether an installation works — it is whether your property has a permanently clear view in that direction. A boundary wall, a double storey next door or a tree in the wrong corner of the garden is what gets in the way, and that is what we check with a meter before drilling anything.

The airport sits about 4.5 km from the town centre, and it does not change how a dish is aimed: the dish is pointed at a fixed position in the sky, and what matters is whether that line stays clear permanently. If your picture is breaking up, we measure the signal at the dish and at the decoder rather than guessing at a cause — in practice the answer is almost always alignment, an ageing LNB, a wet connector or damaged cable.

An E48 error means the decoder is not getting an adequate satellite signal. E48-32 is the weather-related version: heavy rain or a storm is weakening the signal, and it normally clears when the weather does. If it is still there once the sky has cleared, the usual causes are a dish that has moved, a failing LNB, water in a connector or damaged cable — we test each of those to find which.

E16 usually points to your subscription or smartcard rather than anything on the roof. Check the account at dstv.com or call MultiChoice on 011 289 2222. If the account is in order and the error stays, get in touch and we will check the decoder and the signal reaching it.

Call 077 454 4032, send a WhatsApp or fill in the contact form on this site. Tell us the suburb, what you need and — if it is a fault — what the screen is showing, and we will come back with a quote and a time.
